Consider replacing your battery

If you getting a error message like this “Consider replacing your battery” in Windows 7.Then we are provide a solution for this problem.Windows 7 does not properly retrieve the battery status and therefore informs you way too early to replace your battery. This battery issue has been around since Windows 7 RC and is actually pretty annoying. Not until now, Microsoft has paid attention to it, although this is one of they key functions of a laptop.Microsoft reported that the tool that is retrieving the battery status works flawlessly and they can’t explain why it is not working as it should. Many Windows 7 users say that sometimes their laptop even gets shutdown after 30 minutes, although they were using a completely refreshed battery.

How to Fix/Solution:-

The temporary fix for the battery issue is to disable “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” in your device manager and you will no longer receive the annoying message “consider replacing your battery”. The disadvantage is that you will no longer be able to see when you run out of battery. If you know from experience that the battery would normally last xx hours, then I would simply install a timer gadget and set up an alert every xx hours.

1. Open up the Control Panel:

Windows 7 Control Panel

2. Uncollapse “Batteries” and disable or uninstall “Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery”/>
